分析(Analysis)

●Analysis is the process of preparing a bibliographic record that describes a part or parts of an item for which a comprehensive entry has been made.
●由若干部分組成之作品，其各部分書目記錄之編製謂之分析。
1.Added entry(附加款目)：An entry,additional to the main entry ,by which an item is represented in a catalogue;a secondary entry.
2.Main entry(主要款目)：The complete catalogue record of an item,presented in the form by which the entry is to be uniformly identified and cited.The main entry may include the tracing(s)
3.Entry(標目)：A record of an item in a catalogue.
4.Heading(標題)：A name,word or phrase placed at the head of a catalogue entry to provide an access point.
5.Analytical(分析款目)：An entry for a part of an item for which a comprehensive entry is also made.
6.Analytical note：The statement in an analytical entry relating the part being analyzed to the item of which it is a part.

●國立中央圖書館中文圖書編目規則，規則180：凡附刻、合刻、合訂之書，及一書內之重要部分或附錄等，均應另立分析片。

●章學誠在《文史通義》裡，稱之為別裁。

●分析是一種方法，一種過程，其結果為分析款目。編目規則對分析的說明，只是一種概括性的規範，各編目機構的編目政策及地區性的需求才是直接影響分析的主要因素。
